Medical device development becomes increasingly complex as requirements, risks, testing, standards, and regulatory documentation grow across multiple teams and product components. Using a cardiac monitoring system as a practical example, this session will explore how teams can create stronger traceability, identify gaps earlier, simplify design controls, and keep technical documentation aligned as a product evolves. We will also look at how these challenges extend into connected devices, where software, cloud infrastructure, and data flow introduce additional considerations for development and commercialization. Attendees will leave with practical ideas for making product development more efficient, improving regulatory readiness, and reducing the manual work that often builds up before audits and submissions.
